It is sometimes hard for us to imagine other uses for social media other than saying what we had for breakfast. However, social media has played an active role in ever facet of society, whether political, cultural, social, economical or educational. Social media, has in a way, contracted the world since it possesses the ability to transcend national borders. However, it is equally important to recognize the negative impacts of social media.​
